  1. Upload your photos and pay. Add a scan or a clear phone photo of each print, plus any notes (names, known colours, damage to focus on). Pay securely with Stripe.
  2. We restore. AI-assisted tools remove dust, scratches and grain, repair faces and add natural colour.
  3. A person checks every photo. We review each result, fix odd details and make sure faces still look like the people you know.
  4. You receive it by email within 3 working days as a high-resolution JPEG. Want something changed? One re-edit is free.
About AI and honesty: we use AI-assisted restoration and colourisation, and a person checks every result before it's delivered. Colours in a black-and-white photo are an informed reconstruction, not a historical record. Tell us anything you know and we'll match it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this done by AI or by a person?

Both. We use AI-assisted restoration tools (open-source face-restoration and colourisation models) to do the heavy lifting, then a person checks every photo before it's sent and fixes anything that looks wrong. We tell you this up front because AI can occasionally guess details or colours incorrectly.

How accurate are the colours?

Colourising a black-and-white photo is an informed reconstruction, not a record of the real colours. If you know details ("Grandad's uniform was navy", "her dress was green"), put them in the notes and we'll follow them. If something looks off, use your free re-edit.

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Every photo includes one free re-edit. Just reply to the delivery email and tell us what to change. If a photo is too damaged for us to restore well, we'll tell you and refund that photo in full.

How long does it take?

Within 3 working days of your order, by email. For Christmas, order by Wednesday 17 December to have your photos well before the 25th.

What do I receive?

A high-resolution JPEG of each restored photo (colourised, plus a black-and-white restored version if you'd like one), sent by email download link. It's ready to print or frame.

What should I upload?

A scan or a clear phone photo of the print. Shoot in daylight, straight on, without flash glare. JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF or WebP, up to 20 MB each, up to 9 photos per order.

Do you need the original print?

No. Nothing is posted, and your original stays with you.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately and used only to do your order. We never use them for marketing or for training AI models. Uploads are deleted automatically 90 days after upload. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Can you remove or add people, or combine photos?

Not in this service. We focus on faithful restoration and colourising. Email us if you need something different and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.

How do I pay?

Securely by card through Stripe Checkout. We never see your card details. Prices include everything; there are no extras at checkout.
